In Home Services Designated Manager Training
19 CSR 15-7.021(14)(A) and (B) requires all in-home service providers to have a designated manager on staff. To qualify as a designated manager, education and experience requirements must be met as well as passing a written test administered by MMAC.
The training materials for the test should be reviewed online. After viewing these sessions, you must take a written test. A three hour training session will be provided prior to the test. You are not required to attend the training portion, but it is highly recommended. If you do not pass the test, you can retake the test on any of the prescheduled test dates. Prior to taking the test again, it is advisable for you to review all of the online training materials.
The test is administered once per calendar quarter. Pre-registration is required and there is no cost to take the test. The day will consist of 3 hours of classroom instruction beginning at 9:30 am, followed by a lunch break at approximately 12:30 pm, with review session beginning immediately following check in (you must present a valid photo ID) and testing is 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm. After the test is completed and all testing materials have been turned in, you are invited to come back into the room for a question answer time with a panel of MMAC employees.

Registration is required for each attendee prior to taking the test. The registration form must be filled out completely. Space is limited. Once the training date has reached capacity, the date will no longer be available for selection on the registration form.
The test consists of 40 multiple choice and true/false questions. A score of 80% or more is required to pass. You will be notified by mail within 2 weeks of taking the test if you passed or failed.
You must have valid photo identification such as a driver’s license or state identification card to take the test. You will not be permitted to take the test unless you have a form of identification that includes your photo and full name.

In-Home Services Designated Manager Training will be held at the Governor’s Office Building, 200 Madison Street, Suite 450, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Parking is available across the street from the Governor’s Office Building in the City Parking Garage. Fees for parking in the City Parking Garage are $6.00 for the whole day.
If you have general questions regarding the training, please email them to Provider Contracts. Specific questions regarding the training materials will be covered during the morning training. There will be also a question and answer session after the test has been completed by everyone.
