Provider Certification Training
19 CSR 15-7.021(14)(A) and (B) requires all in-home service providers to have a designated manager on staff. To qualify as a designated manager, education and experience requirements must be met as well as attendance at Provider Certification Training and passing the training test.
The training sessions must be viewed online. After viewing all of the sessions, you must take a test. If you do not pass the test, you can retake the test on any of the prescheduled test dates. Prior to taking the test again, it is advisable for you to review all of the training sessions.
Continued Certification
In order to maintain your certification, you must attend annual training provided by the Missouri Medicaid Audit and Compliance Unit (MMAC). Failure to attend an annual training will invalidate the certificate received when the training test was passed. To become certified again, you must pass the test again. Testing Schedule
The test is administered once per calendar quarter. There is no pre-registration and no cost to take the test. The test is administered at the Harry S Truman State Office Building, 301 West High Street, Jefferson City, Missouri in Room 490-492. A question and answer review session will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon and the test is given at 1:30 p.m. Anyone arriving after 1:30 p.m. will not be allowed to take the test.
Provider Certification Training Test Schedule
The Test
The test consists of 40 multiple choice and true/false questions. A score of 80% or more is required to pass. You will be notified by mail within 2 weeks of taking the test if you passed or failed.
Identification
You must have valid photo identification such as a driver’s license or state identification card to take the test. You will not be permitted to take the test unless you have a form of identification that includes your photo and full name. Additionally, you must complete and bring a Participant Demographic Information Form with you.
Directions and Parking
Driving directions to the Harry S Truman State Office Building and information on parking. Parking is limited and you will have to walk a short distance.
