In Home Services Designated Manager Training
19 CSR 15-7.021(14)(A) and (B) requires all in-home service providers to have a designated manager on staff. To qualify as a designated manager, education and experience requirements must be met as well as passing a written test administered by MMAC.
The training materials for the test must be reviewed online. After viewing these sessions, you must take a written test. A three hour review session will be provided prior to the test. You are not required to attend the review portion, but it is highly recommended. If you do not pass the test, you can retake the test on any of the prescheduled test dates. Prior to taking the test again, it is advisable for you to review all of the online training materials again.
The test is administered once per calendar quarter. Pre-registration is required and there is no cost to take the test. The day will consist of 3 hours of instructor led review beginning at 9:30 am, followed by a lunch break at 12:30 pm – 1:15 pm with check in at 1:15 pm – 1:30 pm and testing is 1:30 pm.

Registration is required for each attendee prior to taking the test. The registration form must be filled out completely and includes attesting that you have reviewed or will review, all of the Designated Manager training materials posted on MMAC’s site prior to the classroom review & test. Space is limited. Once the training date has reached capacity, the date will no longer be available for selection on the registration form. The next session will not be made available until after the current class has taken place.
If the next class is full, you may want to have your name put on a waiting list for the next class. If so, you will need to e-mail Provider Contracts at firstname.lastname@example.org. Keep in mind that is a waiting list for the next class and does not guarantee you a spot in any of the classes. If you are put on the waiting list, you will only be notified if a space becomes available for you.
The test consists of 40 multiple choice and true/false questions. A score of 80% or more is required to pass. You will be notified by mail within 2 weeks of taking the test if you passed or failed.
You must have valid photo identification such as a driver’s license or state identification card to take the test. You will not be permitted to take the test unless you have a form of identification that includes your photo and full name.

In-Home Services Designated Manager Training will be held at the Governor’s Office Building, 200 Madison Street, Suite 450, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Parking is available across the street from the Governor’s Office Building in the City Parking Garage. Fees for parking in the City Parking Garage are $6.00 for the whole day.
