Designated Manager Training

19 CSR 15-7.021(14)(A) and (B) requires all in-home service providers to have a designated manager on staff. To qualify as a designated manager, education and experience requirements must be met as well as passing a written test administered by MMAC.

Testing Schedule

The test is administered once per calendar quarter. Pre-registration is required and there is no cost to take the test. The day will consist of a 90 minute instructor led review beginning at 9:00 am, followed by a short break, open book materials, virtual testing functionality, scoring and testing immediately following.

Registration

Registration is required for each attendee prior to taking the test. Make sure that you use a valid email address specific to the person registering (more than one person cannot register with the same email). You will also have to use a desktop or laptop for registering AND attending this testing session. A tablet, Chromebook, or smartphone will not be sufficient. You must review all of the Designated Manager training open book materials posted on MMAC’s site prior to the test. Space is limited. Registration will close at midnight prior to each session date. Once the training date has reached capacity, the date will no longer be available for selection on the registration form. The next session will not be made available until after the current class has taken place.

DM TESTING

The test is in open book format that will consist of 50 multiple choice and true/false questions.  Open book materials can be found in the link below.  Prior to taking the test, it is advisable for you to review all of the materials.  You will be allowed 3 hours to take the test. A score of 80% or more is required to pass. When you are done and submit your test, you will NOT be able to go back and review or change any answers. You will be notified by mail within 2 weeks of taking the test if you passed or failed.  If you do not pass the test, you can retake the test on any of the prescheduled test dates.

Certified CDS Manager Testing – MMAC will no longer offer the CDS Orientation Training

19 CSR 15-8.400(1)(D) and (E) requires all consumer directed service providers to have a certified CDS Manager on staff. To qualify as a certified CDS Manager must pass a written test administered by MMAC.

Testing Schedule

The test is administered once per calendar quarter (February, May, August and November). Pre-registration is required and there is no cost to take the test. The day will consist of a 3 hour instructor led review beginning at 9:00 am, followed by a short break, and testing immediately following.  Attendee will be allowed 3 hours for the test which is in open-book format.

Registration is required for each attendee prior to taking the test. Make sure that you use a valid email address specific to the person registering (more than one person cannot register with the same email). You will also have to use a desktop or laptop for registering AND attending this testing session. A tablet, Chromebook, or smartphone will not be sufficient.   You may review all of the certified CDS  Manager training open book materials posted on MMAC’s site prior to the test. Space is limited, MMC will give preference to pending and currently non-compliant CDS providers.  MMAC respectfully requests that provider who are compliant but want to add certified staff wait until 2025 to do so.  Registration will close at midnight prior to each session date. Once the training date has reached capacity, you will be directed to a Wait List through WebEx. Starting in 2025 the next session will not be made available until after the current training has taken place.
